The short version
Every review tied to The Indi Collective’s name comes from a couple who booked a wedding, engagement session, or portrait session with us. After a gallery or film is delivered, couples are invited to share their experience on the review platform of their choice — most commonly The Knot, Google, or directly through Instagram and email, where many couples choose to tag us or send a note unprompted.
A couple’s feedback is posted directly, in their own words, to third-party platforms without being pre-screened by us. What you see on The Knot or Google is what a couple chose to write, in their own words.
Every review associated with our name is written by the couple themselves, in their own words, from their own account — attributable to a real couple who was a real client.
A genuine review, comment, or profile representing The Indi Collective will always trace back to that standard.
Requesting a review or testimonial from a past client is standard practice across the wedding industry, and we do ask. Reviews are requested with no discount, credit, free product, or other incentive attached — a couple’s feedback is theirs to give freely, positive or otherwise.
The couples we ask are always real clients who booked and completed a wedding, engagement, or portrait session with us.
The most reliable place to read reviews is a third-party platform where reviewers are tied to a real account and, in many cases, a verified booking — The Knot is the platform we point couples to most often, and it currently reflects roughly 70 reviews averaging 5.0. Google reviews and our own Instagram, where couples regularly tag us in their own posts about their wedding day, are additional places to see real feedback outside of anything we’ve curated ourselves.
Reading reviews across more than one independent platform, rather than relying on a single source, is generally the more reliable way to evaluate any wedding vendor — us included.
The Indi Collective’s production and support team is international, and team members are proud of the work they help deliver. Our internal policy requires that anyone affiliated with the company — staff, contractors, or partners — disclose that affiliation if they comment publicly about The Indi Collective, rather than presenting themselves as an unaffiliated client or bystander. Disclosed affiliation is the standard we hold our team to, even when the intention behind a comment is good, and we reinforce that standard directly when needed.
Yes, and we’d genuinely love that. If you worked with us and want to share your experience — good, bad, or somewhere in between — you can post it directly to The Knot or Google, tag us on Instagram, or send it to us and we may ask permission to feature it. Couples write entirely in their own words, freely and without expectation.
